Macular Disease Foundation Australia - Peer Support Groups

Summary

The Macular Disease Foundation’s (MDFA) Peer Support Groups are run by volunteers and are held every two months, either in person or online. These sessions give people living with macular disease an opportunity to connect, share their stories, and receive practical advice and emotional support. If you would like more information or are interested in joining a group, please contact the MDFA helpline at 1800 111 709.

MDFA Peer Support Groups

MDFA currently hosts Peer Support Groups in the following locations across Australia:

  • Online: hosted online via either Teams or Zoom.
  • Canberra, ACT: hosted at the Griffin Centre.
  • Chatswood, NSW: hosted at the Chatswood Library.
  • Parramatta, NSW: hosted in the PHIVE Meeting Room.
  • Brisbane, QLD: hosted at the Queensland Square Library.
  • Maroochydore, QLD: hosted at the Millwell Road Community Centre.
  • Adelaide, SA: hosted at the Goodwood Community Centre.
  • Hobart, TAS: hosted in the Rosny Library, Room Three.
  • Brighton, VIC: hosted at the Brighton Library.
  • Canning, WA: hosted at the Bentley Community Centre.
  • Stirling, WA: hosted at the Osborne Community Hub.
