Western Australia (WA) public transport subsidies and vision loss

People living with vision impairment are entitled to travel free of charge on TransPerth Metro and TransWA Regional services upon production of a Vision Impairment Travel Pass.

Eligibility

  • Person with a vision impairment and accompanying guide.
  • Western Australian and Interstate Vision Impairment Travel Pass holder.

WA residents can contact one of the following organisations to request a vision impairment pass:

Travelling Companion

Additionally, the National Companion Card Scheme allows eligible people with disabilities to participate in activities without a second ticket cost for their companion, including some public transport services.
