Meet SeeWay

SeeWay is a personalised support service for people with permanent low vision. Whether you’re newly diagnosed or simply looking for a bit of guidance, we’re here to help you stay confident, connected, and in control. Making adaptations and use of residual vision leads to stronger long-term outcomes – emotionally, socially and practically. From learning new tech to finding helpful resources or just having someone to talk to, SeeWay is here to support you and your loved ones every step of the way.

SeeWay is an initiative of Guide Dogs NSW/ACT

SeeWay was created by Guide Dogs NSW/ACT to meet a growing, urgent need - one that was too often overlooked. Every year, thousands of Australians begin losing their vision. Many are not legally blind, and do not qualify for any formal support.

For more than 60 years, Guide Dogs has been by the side of Australians with vision loss – helping people of all ages live independently, safely and with confidence. Guide Dogs is best known for their extraordinary Guide Dogs - but their impact reaches far beyond. Across decades, Guide Dogs has delivered specialist mobility and orientation services, training in assistive technology and daily living skills, support for children, adults and families, and advocacy, education and leadership in low vision care. Guide Dogs has become one of Australia’s most trusted charities, known not only for its expertise but for its compassion.

SeeWay is the next chapter in this legacy; a bold, timely step to support Australians earlier, more holistically, and nationally. Experiencing changes in your vision can be life changing, but with the right support, no Australian should face it on their own.
