Carer Gateway Counselling Service

Free phone counselling for unpaid carers in Australia.

Carer Gateway is an Australian Government program providing free services and support for carers. Amongst their variety of services, they provide free phone counselling for unpaid carers around Australia.

This service is available from 8am to 6pm Monday to Friday and is available to carers over 18 years of age. The service has counsellors who speak languages other than English and use the national Translating and Interpreting Service. Counsellors through this service have also received Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Mental Health First Aid training and have experience in working respectfully with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander carers.

To access phone counselling, call Carer Gateway on 1800 422 737 and select option 2 to speak to the phone counselling team or request a call back by visiting the Carer Gateway Counselling Service website.
