Diabetes Australia
Support for living well with diabetes.

Diabetes Australia is the national body supporting Australians affected by all types of diabetes and those at risk of developing it. The organisation works with health professionals, educators, and researchers to raise awareness about preventing, managing, and living well with diabetes — including conditions associated with diabetes such as diabetes-related eye disease.
Diabetes Australia provides education, care, and support to help people live well with diabetes, and is committed to reducing the impact of diabetes through advocacy, research, and community connection.
Services offered by Diabetes Australia:
- KeepSight – a free national reminder program that helps Australians with diabetes book regular eye checks and protect their vision. Eye checks are essential to detect diabetes-related eye disease early and prevent vision loss, and KeepSight makes it easier by sending reminders when it’s time to book your next appointment.
- Diabetes YOUnited – Diabetes Australia’s membership program, offering connection to Australia’s largest diabetes community. Members can access expert information, seasonal meal plans, webinars, Circle magazine, and an online platform to share experiences and ask questions. YOUnited is about making sure no one faces diabetes alone.
Diabetes Australia also administers the National Diabetes Services Scheme (NDSS), provides local support and education programs, and invests in research to improve life with diabetes — including new treatments and technologies that support eye health and overall wellbeing.
