Fitness sessions designed for people with low vision
Find fitness sessions in person or online designed for people with low vision, and to suit various lifestyles and fitness levels.

Summary
Exercise is a vital part of maintaining a healthy lifestyle, and a low vision diagnosis doesn't exclude you from this. Across Australia, low vision fitness sessions can be found in person or online. There are a range of options available with different delivery methods and skill levels. Here are some of our suggestions.
How to get involved in exercise and sport in your community
There are providers who specialise in providing fitness sessions for people with low vision or blindness either face-to-face or online. These include organisations such as WeFlex and Blind Sports and Recreation Victoria.
If you are interested in face-to-face exercise, agencies like WeFlex have personal trainers who are specifically trained in vision loss who can train with you at home, in a gym, or a local park—wherever suits you best. WeFlex also partner with gyms like Anytime Fitness and Fitness Playground.
If you are interested in online classes, Blind Sports and Recreation Victoria offers a range of FREE online fitness sessions for people with low vision or blindness to help people get fit at home. All fitness levels are welcome, no equipment is necessary, and anyone who is blind or has low vision around Australia can join in.

How does a ZOOM Walking fitness session work?
The ZOOM walking fitness sessions involve listening to an exercise session on YouTube, while BSRV’s Program Coordinator provides verbal explanations about some of the moves involved. A Program Coordinator will also verbally describe some of the moves before the YouTube video commences via the zoom link. Sessions run 30 to 45 minutes. Visit the Zoom Walking Fitness page for more information.
What is an Energy Balance class?
This class is all about balancing energy so that you can optimise your health and wellbeing. The class will activate your energy, with soft-flowing movements.
Sessions run 45 to 60 minutes. Visit Blindsports for more information on Energy Balance.
